The YesPinoy Foundation Inc. in partnership with the ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability Southeast Asia, Inc. and the City Environment Management Office of Marikina, organized a series of YES! Pinoy Movers Workshops last February 4, 10 and 18, 2017 held at the Kalumpang Gym, Marikina City.

The event, participated in by high school and college students from the host city, Quezon City, Makati City, Ilocos Norte, Aurora, Bicol, Iloilo, Davao and Surigao Del Norte, featured talks and interactive sessions on climate action, disaster resilience and responsible citizen participation.

The workshop seeks to educate and build the capacity of young people in addressing climate change and disaster risks; organize the pioneer YES Pinoy Movers at the high school and tertiary levels, who will serve as advocacy partners of the organizers; and develop information, education and communication materials in order to ensure the project’s sustainability and replicability.
